On February 5, 2012, exactly five years ago today, the first article of The Dhaka Times was published! After five years with the love of all, today we are in a new form, in a completely new form!
The Dhaka Times was born to make life-oriented information available in Bengali, the language of our life, and to inspire all Bengali speakers to read a little more. From the very beginning, we were determined about our goals, and by no means fell into the trap of easy popularity like the top ten online magazines. After many good and bad times, five years later we are in this place today!

A lot of love from everyone, so much hope. Rather than making The Dhaka Times a very profitable business, our aim was to establish it as an important LifeStyle magazine in Bengali. We never wanted to make money by advertising in a one-sided way! We had to survive very hard, but we knew from the beginning that it is not a matter of one day success, we have to survive if we want to reach our goal. We didn't want sudden success, we wanted to build a readership.
After five years today, the Dhaka Times in a completely new form! Let's see what's new for readers –
1) New Domain: TheDhakaTimes.com:
Actually The Dhaka Times started as TheDhakaTimes.com domain, but moved to DhakaTimes.com.bd domain three years ago as part of expressing love for the country. But due to repeated hacking of Bangladeshi domains, almost all .bd domains being down a few days ago, government not being able to take proper action, we don't feel safe to use DhakaTimes.com.bd as our main domain, so we are moving to our previous TheDhakaTimes.com domain. coming All previous links will automatically redirect to the new domain.
2) New Design: Bold and Beautiful:
The Dhaka Times is now in a brand new look, we call it bold and beautiful design, you will understand it just by visiting our home page. See – TheDhakaTimes.com
We are new design brave I am saying this because no publication website in Bengali language has ever been designed so modern and with images in front. And why I am saying Sundar can be understood by looking at the home page.
3) Secure SSL: HTTPS
The Dhaka Times now uses fully secure SSL technology. We are probably the first among the major newspapers in Bangladesh to fully switch to SSL. Neither Prothom Alo nor BDNews24 fully support HTTPS yet. But this is the future, and we hope our move will help others rethink security. 
4) Instant Facebook: Facebook Instant Article
Whenever you read any new article of The Dhaka Times from Facebook, all will be loaded instantly. This new technology called Facebook Instant Article is completely new in Bangladesh. We are grateful to the Facebook developer team for helping The Dhaka Times use this technology.
All our links on Facebook that have this symbol will open the articles as soon as they are clicked, the data consumption is almost zero, and it will load in one third of a second.
5) Complete Mobile Design:
Our mobile site has always been very fast, now generally readers will get the full website on mobile. But if you come from Google Search, or just add /amp/ to any link, then a very light version will be loaded, we will not show this version by default, because with the improvement of smartphones, our 3G network has also improved, and Facebook Instant Article is still there.
