The Ministry of AYUSH said that this work will be started in conjunction with the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research. News has come out that the work of making medicine with these 3 plants - Ashwagandha, Mulethi and Guduchi - will be started.
Those 3 medicinal plants are the infallible claims of malaria. Experiments are going on whether they can be used to prevent corona or not. It is believed that these medicinal plants will work successfully to prevent corona infection. Note that AYUSH-64 is made of these. Anti-malarial drugs like hydroxychloroquine are also being used to prevent corona. The country's center thinks AYUSH-64 will do the same.
After receiving proposals from various government and private hospitals, the idea of starting the work was considered. Hospitals in various cities including Mumbai, Delhi, Lucknow are going to work on Ayurveda. Note that the Ministry of AYUSH wants to highlight the role of Ayurveda, Yoga, Naturopathy, Homeopathy, Unani and Siddha. However, they have to face criticism once in a while. The ministry said that the trial will run for 15 days and in two modes. On the one hand, the patient will take only Ayurvedic medicine.
On the other hand, the dosage of Ayurvedic medicine will go along with allopathy medicine. That is why a committee of 17 members has been formed. The committee headed by UGC Vice Chairman Professor Bhushan Patwardhan will oversee the work.
