The Dhaka Times Desk A statement issued by Myanmar's military after the military coup highlighted four issues. BBC Myanmar Correspondent confirmed this information.

A statement on the country's military Facebook page said, "We will practice true multi-party democracy, while ensuring full balance and impartiality," the BBC reported.
The statement added that the transfer of power would take place "after free and fair elections and the end of the state of emergency".

4. The army will hold a general election after the emergency is over.
On the other hand, the country's pro-democracy leader Aung San Suu Kyi has called for public protests against the military coup in Myanmar.
The NLD leader called for public protests within hours of the arrest of Suu Kyi and senior leaders of her National League for Democracy (NLD) party by the country's army. A statement issued in his name also called on the people of Myanmar to protest.
