The women of the country have been protesting in the streets demanding a change in the regime of Iran. Security forces have taken a strict stand to counter the movement. So far more than half a hundred people have been killed in police firing. Thousands of people of the country have been arrested. In one of her messages on the issue, Malala praised Iranian women for their courage and initiative to bring change in the country. Addressing the Iranian girls and young women who took to the streets to demand freedom and security, Malala said, "You are changing the whole world by playing a brave role."

It should be noted that Masha Amini (22), a woman from Kurdistan, was arrested for violating the strict dress code. He died in hospital on September 16 after falling ill in police custody.
