As a result of the clash in Dinajpur, Jamaat-Shibir attempted to set fire to the Jaipurhat Puranapul Krishi Bank, resulting in a massive clash with the police, RAB and BGB. The police first used tear gas. Later, when the situation went out of control, the firing took place. At that time, many shots were fired in that incident. 2 people died in the incident. The injured have been taken to hospital.
After the incident, two motorcycles and a van were set on fire by Jamaat-Shibir workers at Batter Junction in the city. After that, violence spread in various areas around the city including Durgapur, Palli Vidyut, Tetul Tali.
