The incident happened in Lalpur of Natore. The mobile court fined Tk 10,000 to the supporters of BNP-backed chairman candidate Harunor Rashid for violating the rules of motor cycle procession in the election code of conduct. It is reported that the court headed by Lalpur Upazila Executive Officer (UNO) and Executive Magistrate Amirul Islam imposed the fine. Executive Magistrate Amirul Islam reached Duaria Maud of Upazila and set up a mobile court. He seized 10 motorcycles used for election campaign. At this time some others escaped with a motorcycle.
BNP supported candidate Harunor Rashid complained about the fine and said, 'My supporters were campaigning in accordance with the election rules. At that time local people arrived there with motorcycles. At that time the administration unfairly fined my supporters by accusing them of violating the code of conduct. "My dignity has been undermined by this," he said.
