The police arrested Mamun from room 11 of a boarding house called Shimrail in Siddhirganj, Narayanganj, around 9 pm on Wednesday. At this time, two foreign pistols loaded with 5 rounds were also recovered from him.
Inspector of Special Branch of District Police (DIO-1) Mainur Rahman told the media that this operation was conducted on the basis of secret information. Nur Hossain's bodyguard Mamun was arrested from the hotel. At that time, two point 3 bore pistols and 5 rounds were recovered from him.
Meanwhile, although the bodyguard and the 3rd accused in the complaint have been arrested, the main accused Noor Hossain and 3 RAB officials have not been arrested despite the court's instructions, causing anger among the people of Narayanganj.
It should be noted that on April 27 Narayanganj City Corporation Panel Mayor Nazrul Islam, his 5 associates and lawyer Chandan Kumar Sarkar and his driver were abducted. After 3 days, the police recovered their half-melted bodies from Shitalakshya river. This incident caused extreme anger across the country. There were also allegations of RAB involvement.
