We all know women cry more than men. Also, women are at the forefront of all aspects of society today. In no respect are they inferior to men. But in spite of that, somewhere or the other, the motherly behavior remains among the women. Even though women are tough outside to face the harassment of the society, they are always soft inside. And so because of this tender heart they can never control their emotions. That's why all women have to listen to it from childhood, girls cry at the words.
Research has shown exactly the same information about women. A research group led by Ed Vingerhoets, professor and clinical psychologist at Tinburg University in the Netherlands. They talked to about 5 thousand people from 7 countries. According to researchers, women shed tears 30 to 64 times a year. On the other hand, boys shed 6 to 17 times a year. The researchers also said that girls cry longer than boys. Girls cry for 6 to 7 minutes on average, while men cry for only 2 to 3 minutes.
Professor Ed Vingerhoets has also written a book based on tears called 'Why Only Humans Weep: Unraveling the Mysteries of Tears'.
