The World Health Organization (WHO) has released a list of 15 countries as vulnerable to the deadly Ebola crisis. In these countries, extra precautionary measures have been advised due to fears that Ebola could spread rapidly.
The countries are:
1. Ivory Coast
2. Guinea Bissau
3. the gardener
4. Benin
5. Senegal
6. Burkina Faso
7. Cameroon
8. Central African Republic
9. Congo
10. Ghana
11. Zambia
12. Mauritania
13. Nigeria
14. Togo and
15. South Sudan.
The World Health Organization fears that the virus can spread at any time, even if there is no Ebola in these countries. Therefore, these countries have been told to take extra precautionary measures.
Director of WHO. Isabelle Nuttall says the number of Ebola cases is doubling every month. Health officials are said to be working to prevent the Ebola virus from spreading to neighboring countries from Liberia, Sierra Leone and Guinea.
The director of the WHO also said that the main purpose of listing is to prevent the transmission of the Ebola virus. There may be no Ebola patients in the mentioned countries right now, but one case means more cases. And so it is absolutely necessary for those countries to be more careful.
Dr. Isabelle Nuttall also said that the number of infected will exceed 9 thousand within this week. On the other hand, the death toll will stand at 4,500. Health workers are constantly being affected by this terrible virus. So far 427 health workers have been infected and 236 health workers have died, he said.
