According to media reports, a 2-year-old child's life was saved due to the photo taken on iPhone. A 2-year-old child's eye cancer was detected by looking at photos taken on her iPhone by Julie Fitzgerald, a resident of Rockford, Illinois, USA.
The woman, named Julie, spotted a scar on an iPhone photo of baby Avery's stomach. Then he also saw white spots on the eyeballs. He saw the symptoms and started looking for an online doctor. Once he came to know that the child had cancer in his eyes. She then went to an ophthalmologist to find out that her child had multiple tumors in her eyes.
After examining the child, doctors said that Avery's eye disease is called retinoblastoma. Not only that, 75 percent of his eyes are affected by tumors. Expressing fear, the doctors said, if the child's parents had delayed the examination after seeing the symptoms of the disease, then there was a possibility that it would have spread to the blood and brain of the child Avery.
However, Avery's left eye had to be surgically removed. Still, doctors fitted the child with artificial eyes. Avery's parents are now awaiting the child's chemotherapy.
However, it is believed that the life has not yet reached the critical stage as the doctor was alerted in time due to the photo.
