We know eve teasing has become a problem in our society nowadays. Various campaigns have been carried out to prevent this eve teasing, but in reality there is no result. Sometimes school-college girls don't choose suicide because of eve teasing. Those students of Bogra invented anti-eve teasing shoes to protect themselves from eve teasing.
Explaining how this shoe will work, team leader Sadika Jahan said, 'Essentially a normal shoe has a small transformer connected to a battery through two copper wires. A switch then connects the negative and positive wires together to deliver an electric shock. This technology can be installed in certain school-college shoes. If a student realizes that someone is harassing her, she has to turn on the small switch with the other foot's shoe. Then you have to touch the harasser's body with the shoe that is equipped with the technology somehow. Eve Teaser will be shocked immediately.'
