It is expected that the car will be released in the market this year itself. It will be the first wind powered car. Its new 'Hybrid Air' engine system will use compressed air mixed with petrol as fuel. It will save 80 percent fuel consumption.
The air system will automatically turn on when driving at speeds below 43mph in urban areas. The car uses a gasoline engine with an air engine that is used at speeds below 70mph. It can run on gasoline or air or both.
Peugeot says it will get 117 miles per gallon of gasoline by 2020. This new engine system does not require expensive batteries. Also, it will never run out of air. It will collect air by itself.
These cars will cost less than the hybrid cars available today. It will be quite environment friendly as it uses air.
Such a car shows us the light of hope in this time of fuel problem and environmental pollution in the world. Because we are the most affected by environmental pollution. Besides, this car is very convenient for our country. It will reduce the fuel consumption and the environment will be fine.
