The Dhaka Times Desk The airport in Tamil Nadu, India has been affected by severe floods. Most of the roads and houses in the capital Chennai have been submerged in the second severe flood in the last 3 weeks.
According to media reports, army has been deployed along with fire service and National Disaster Rescue Force to deal with the flood situation.
According to NDTV, the floodwater entered the runway of the Chennai International Airport and reached the undercarriage of the aircraft. 9 flights were canceled till 10 pm on Tuesday. About 400 air passengers are stuck there. Airport director Deepak Shastri said that the take-off and landing of aircraft will be stopped until the water recedes.
On the other hand, the journey of 13 trains was canceled due to water rising on the railway line. Floodwaters have entered the zoo. Due to which there is fear of falling into fear about animals and birds.
