Little baby Maddy: eats everything including the carpet, rocks!

The Dhaka Times Desk We have seen people eating bricks and stones before. But no one could have imagined that such a small child could do such a thing. This baby's name is Maddy. He eats everything including the carpet, stone!

Toddler Maddie Moore. Only 3 years old. Despite growing up like other children, this child Maddy Moore is suffering from a strange disease 'pica'. His appetite is not satisfied by eating funny food, but he is more interested in junk food! He began to swallow the color of the carpet in the house and go-gras!

Maddie Moore's diet includes washing powder, cooking oil, carpet lint, stone, plaster, plastic, wood, sand, tape, insects, paint, pens and toilet tissue.

A strange disease is 'pica', an impulsive disorder that leads to the need for other things rather than food to satisfy hunger. There is no choice then.

The child is currently being monitored by the Children's Centre. They have provided edible dolls for Maddie. At least he can safely eat plastic or rubber dolls.

As the child has such a disease, his mother, Catherine Mullins, has to be on guard at all times. He takes care that the girl does not eat anything harmful. "My daughter's problem is a rare one," he said. All the experts who saw him said that no one had ever seen such a disease before. My daughter eats everything. Worries about what to eat next time. Doctors conducted various experiments on him for 2 consecutive years. Later, the doctors said that Maddy is suffering from a disease called 'pica'.
